I’m back. Ah, it feels nice to feed the blogging bug.
My laptop is in the shop, so I write from the trusty iPhone I received as a wedding present.
Speaking of wedding, I’M MARRIED!!! It’s awesome. For real. I might post a pic or two when the laptop gets fixed.
Friends
Going through the wedding process brought up many memories and was a very emotional time for me. As the dust has settled post-wedding/honeymoon I have had some time to reflect. I have come to the conclusion that even though I have had hard times in years past, and even though I have been dealt a stinky hand on many occasions, I am blessed.
I have a wonderful wife who is my best friend and partner-in-crime for life. She brightens my day like no other. With my wonderful wife comes her wonderful friends. She has friends who have become some of my closest friends and I am so thankful for them. Don’t get me wrong, I love my friends. They are amazing friends. I just have a wonderful group of people to add to the list. They have made me feel welcome and loved in the most transitional time of my entire life. I thank God for them everyday.
I am blessed.

I’m getting married in three days. Holy cow! I can’t wait!
Way too busy to blog, but I thought I’d do it anyway.
Here are the highlights from my week thus far
- helping make and wrap 700 chocolates and stuffing them in little boxes
- cutting, hole punching and ribbon tying 375 programs
- reading the to-do list that somehow continues to grow
- making sure my groomsmen have their acts together
- talking to the very nice Jamaican lady at our resort to make message appointments
- smelling the 24 loaves of banana bread that Elizabeth has made
- playing with Lucy Claire
- spending some quality work time with my fiance
It’s been crazy, but awesome. I can’t wait to be married!

I have decided to abandon the song name titles…for now.
My life is currently full of school, running sound for play rehearsals, editing videos and planning a wedding. I told Elizabeth the other day that yesterday was March and today is almost the end of April. Wow. Where did the time go?
In a little more than a month I will be a married man which is exciting, scary and a little unbelievable.
I think this is all for tonight. More in depth posting soon. Maybe.

Tis the season
Getting married will land you in the what I like to call “the shower season.” We’ve had quite a few showers so far and we’re getting some pretty awesome gifts. Last night we had a shower with some groomsmen, bridesmaids and camp friends at one of our neighbor’s houses. It was mentioned that everyone attending would be cooking together which sounded really awesome. Turns out, Elizabeth and I cooked – by ourselves.

We made shrimp and grits. They could’ve been served in a 5 star restaurant. Pretty tasty. Take that Emeril, that’s why your show was canceled, because of Seth and Elizabeth’s shrimp and grits. And yes, those are real chef outfits. And yes, they are ours to keep. Come over and we just might cook you something.

Boot Camp

Elizabeth and I are going to boot camp tomorrow. This should be interesting. Getting up at 5 AM to get my tail kicked doesn’t sound as appealing as I would like. I need it though, not gonna lie, fatty’s gotta train for the wedding. So bring it on boot camp.
This week should be pretty standard, minus the death by sweat that will happen in just a few short hours.
