life after Facebook.
Last week I quit Facebook. And Twitter.
It was a decision that I didn’t even think twice about and now I am super glad I did it. I can honestly say that I do not miss it.
The reason I quit is because both Twitter and Facebook had become a vacuum in my life. I was wasting too many hours every day on pointless stuff. There’s a lot of pointless stuff out there, especially on Facebook.
I have decided to “re-brand” things I say with my mouth to life after facebook.
I will share with all of you lovely people the things I did instead of sitting on Facebook for two hours…things that aren’t so…pointless.
Today I ran 3 miles with my wife, and it was awesome.
How much time did you spend on Facebook?

hello, my name is Seth and I’m an internet-oholic
Now is the point you say, “Hi Seth!” Then we all talk about different examples that make us internet-oholics.
I must admit I am obsessed with being on the internet. These are my current obsessions….
wordpress
twitter (my newest obsession that is so addicting)
I am checking all of these constantly. Constantly.
I feel like a computer/iPhone fast in order some day. Not right now though. How else could I pass the time at school? Certainly not studying…
Do YOU have any obsessions?

Facestalk
Check this out.
This little ditty comes from a project that I did last semester on culture jamming. I think it’s a pretty accurate representation of what facebook actually is. Don’t get me wrong, I “stalk” a lot of people on facebook. People I haven’t seen in years who I am just curious to see what is going on in their lives. Who is married? Where did they end up? Am I the only one who made it out of Dahlonega? Stalk might be a bit harsh for the general facebook universe, but it happens even if it’s innocent. I’m just sayin’…
I really have found a new obsession outside of facebook – blogging. I don’t blog very often (hopefully that will change), but I like reading other people’s blogs. It feels more socially redeeming since the blogger puts the information out freely rather than facebook where any “friend” can read anything and everything about you if they choose.
Besides, all the cool kids are doing it.
Do you “stalk” people on facebook? Talk to me. I know at least 2 people read this thing. Comment.
