New title. What do you think? I’m not sure if I like it yet. It might change.

Sorry for the hiatus. School is crazy right now.

I promise I will update soon.

For now, take a look at this….

Hilarious. Or should I say Hillaryous.

Phillips Arena

This is nuts.

Atlanta or Oz?
I go to school at GA State University. It’s pretty cool and I really like the urban vibe that it has. I have to tell you that traffic is off the chain today in downtown Atlanta because of the tornadoes. Luckily Elizabeth and I take Marta because as we were riding over I-85 this morning there was definitely gridlock traffic at 10 AM. Crazy.

A ton of streets are closed down here and you can look up at the sky scrapers and see where boards have been put up where windows used to be. I’ve already had one class canceled, which is not a bad thing. Crazy. It really looked like a war zone watching it on the news Friday night.

Boot Camp – The Revenge
So 5:45 came very early this morning. We drove to Decatur to participate in “butt kicking to get fit.” It was nuts. I can’t tell you how sore I am. I’m sore in places I didn’t even know I had. I thought I knew what I had, but apparently not. Sheesh.

Now I am sitting in the coffee shop on campus listening while every muscle in my body screams at me.

Sorry guys.

Tis the season
Getting married will land you in the what I like to call “the shower season.” We’ve had quite a few showers so far and we’re getting some pretty awesome gifts. Last night we had a shower with some groomsmen, bridesmaids and camp friends at one of our neighbor’s houses. It was mentioned that everyone attending would be cooking together which sounded really awesome. Turns out, Elizabeth and I cooked – by ourselves.

In Action

We made shrimp and grits. They could’ve been served in a 5 star restaurant. Pretty tasty. Take that Emeril, that’s why your show was canceled, because of Seth and Elizabeth’s shrimp and grits. And yes, those are real chef outfits. And yes, they are ours to keep. Come over and we just might cook you something.

Boot Camp
Boot Camp

Elizabeth and I are going to boot camp tomorrow. This should be interesting. Getting up at 5 AM to get my tail kicked doesn’t sound as appealing as I would like. I need it though, not gonna lie, fatty’s gotta train for the wedding. So bring it on boot camp.

This week should be pretty standard, minus the death by sweat that will happen in just a few short hours.

A punch in the face

This week has felt like a punch in the face. Here’s the story.

Well, to start things off, I had a major paper due in my law class Monday. The Monday after spring break! Who assigns something the Monday after spring break? GA State law professors, that’s who. So I finished that and I feel relatively confident, we’ll see.

Marvelous Atlanta Parking
Skip Tuesday and pile drive right into Wednesday. Elizabeth and I decide that we would be studious and spend some extra time studying and finishing assignments at home rather than coming to campus early. We decide to drive down. Well turns out we don’t have anymore money on our GA State parking pass, so we have to pay to park at one of the non-GA State lots downtown.

We pull in to a lot right off of campus very close to where we have class, there is even a nice man there directing us to an open spot. We get out of the car and the attendant, complete with parking vest and clipboard, asks, “Cash or credit?” Elizabeth hands him $8 and we get our parking ticket. Pretty routine.

Turns out my boy the attendant is actually a scam artist and the ticket he has given us is not the right ticket for that lot. We get not one, but two boots on our car. $50 and an hour and a half later, we miss our appointment to see our new apartment, but we have the boots off. Suck.

Crackberry Indeed

Crackberry

I’ve heard Blackberry referred to by some as “Crackberry.” After today I find this very appropriate.

I am sitting in the library, minding my own business, even studying like a good student! It’s time for my test, so I pack up my things and leave the library. Because some idiot in south GA thought I lived on the West Coast and wanted a time share, I had to answer my phone when I first sat down. I didn’t put it back in my pocket like I thought I had.

I left my Blackberry in the library.

I arrive to class and realize this fatal mistake and sprint back across campus (dodging cars, homeless and the like) to see if mercy had been granted. It hadn’t. Now my phone goes to voicemail when it definitely should not. Someone has there new fix of the Crackberry, my Crackberry.

Now I sit here, after a hard paper and test, scammed and phoneless.

I’m ready for the weekend.
