my two cents (vol. 3)
Here are five things I’m into right now.
1. Adam Burrows
We were in Nashville this weekend and saw this guy at the Bluebird Cafe. He is a RIDICULOUS guitar player. His music runs the gauntlet from amusing, heart-breaking and down right haunting. I definitely recommend you check out his music. It is a blend of folk-rock and his finger picking along with his lyrics make for a good harmony of beautiful music.
Highly recommended.
2. Nashville
Big $ and I visited Nashville this past weekend to see her sister and brother-in-law and I can never get enough of that city! It is such a culturally-rich and hospitable town. We were going out on Saturday night and I asked my brother in law if khakis or jeans would be appropriate. His response summed up one of the reasons I LOVE Nashville:
You can never go anywhere in Nashville in jeans and be under-dressed.
Sweet.
3. The Ukulele
My in-laws recently visited Hawaii and they brought me back a ukulele. It is soooo cool. It has been quite an adjustment learning chords for this thing because they are completely different than a guitar. However, it doesn’t take very long before you’re looking for your grass skirt and doing a hula dance.
Yes, yes I have learned the chords for “Somewhere over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World” and yes, it’s awesome.
4. The new Mac Tablet
If the rumors are true, I would certainly be interested in getting my hands on the new, highly-rumored Mac tablet.
Such portability and functionality would go a long way. Plus, it would be cool…and geeky…which I like.
I’d like to think it looks something like this:

5. Fluffer Nutter Graham Crackers

Our snack of choice. The picture says it all.

Apple dropped the ball today. That is all I have to say about that.
Thank you Apple!
I can be a bit absent minded at times. It’s just a fact of life. I forget things. Forget to do things. I’m just wired that way. My b
Well I have a confession to make: I have not once, but twice washed my iPhone headphones.
Fortunately for me they were found after the dry cycle. I say fortunately because after two washes these babies work just fine! Apple must have anticipated my absent mindedness. That company never ceases to amaze and impress me.
Well, except that one time.

It’s here.
The Braves suck, but I got my laptop back!
Last night I went with my good friend Cliff to the Braves game. It was pretty awesome because we paid for the cheap seats and ended up sitting with his friend club level. $12 for club level seats, thanks Kyle.
Of course, the Braves lost. It seems like they always find a way to drop the ball (literally) when in a crunch.
In other news, I picked up my laptop today!!!! It works beautifully and has been missed greatly over the past two weeks.
Ah, a real keyboard.
