my two cents (vol. 2)
Here are some things that I like right now…
World War Z

I’m currently reading this book and so far, it’s fantastic. A very well written novel if you can get around the whole flesh eating zombie thing…and I can.
The book is about a fictional war that took place between man and zombie and it’s told chapter by chapter from a different character in oral format….
Pretty awesome. I recommend it.
Strawberry Swing
This video by Coldplay will BLOW YOUR MIND!!! It is executed so well and definitely some good eye candy. Plus, that squirrel is freaking scary!
Harry Potter and HBP

This movie is definitely notable in the things I like. While I do agree with a lot of people that I’ve talked to about the ending being changed, I do think this was one of the strongest Potters to date.
The acting by the three leads was top notch and they seem to really be in the zone for the two final installments. I also thought this movie had the two best suspense sequences of any of the movies. One of them being one of the best jump scares of any movie I’ve seen. Overall I think it was definitely worth the $10.
The Next Food Network Star
Big $ and I have been following this religiously.
I think that both of the competitors are strong and the final next Sunday will be a nail biter.
My vote…

Jeffrey!
I think he’s going to dominate stay-at-home mom Melissa. Dominate.
There you have it. What are you guys into right now?

Moon walking my way into a Rocket Man
So…it’s been a little longer than “tomorrow”…
My picks for whose deaths would have as much impact as Michael Jackson (all of the entertainment picks are on a global scale, not just domestic):
ENTERTAINMENT
Elton John
Oprah
JK Rowling???
Paul McCartney (but only if Ringo died first and he was the last Beatle still living)
POLITICS
Barack Obama
What do you think? Agree or Disagree? Any to add?
Moon walking my way into insanity

Michael Jackson died.
It is unfortunate and untimely on many levels. I mourn for his family and friends. I hope he knew the Lord.
This whole event has been a three ring circus on the media end of things. Absolutely amazing that 2200 news outlets were in attendance the day of his memorial. From a journalistic standpoint that is unheard of. I can’t count the times I’ve heard Thriller or seen his daughter crying on stage in the past 2 weeks (and that’s with the latter happening this week!). To be honest with you, I’m a little bit over it all. That’s not really fair to all you MJ fanatics or to MJ himself, but blame Anderson Cooper and your local news for it, not me.
It did get me thinking….who else could bring an audience like that? Is there a public figure or celebrity that you think would draw as much attention as the MJ show? If so, who? I have a few that come to mind, but I’ll share those tomorrow.
Leave me a comment yo. Who’s as big as MJ?

Sludge – Does a Body…Bad?
**Big Disclaimer**
I have permission from said party to blog about said medical term…thanks.

Last night Big Money* and I hung out with some our friends Jim Bo and Sally McSludgerson**. We dined, we laughed, I cried…
Something that I thought was hilarious was something that Jim Bo said. He had been experiencing some fatigue, not feeling well and the doctors thought that it might be gallstones. So…he had some test done.
Fast Forward to last night.
Jim Bo received his test results, and the verdict….sludge. The doctor actually told him he had sludge in his body. No medical terms or fancy words, just sludge. Who knew sludge could be so uncomfortable? Is it contagious? Hereditary? Who knows, but this medical breakthrough just might go down in the history books…I predict entire medical journals will be devoted to the exploration of sludge.
Well, Jim Bo will now be referred to as Sludge McSludgerson for the rest of his days.
Here’s to you Kirk, I mean Jim Bo. At least you’ve got your Wii skills going for you.
*Some people used to call my wife Big Money and I though it would be funny to refer to her as such…
**The names of the people involved have been changed to protect their innocence…
